Protein Brownie

Who woulda thought that a delicious brownie could be part of a healthy diet?! I  L.O.V.E.  chocolate so I had to try this recipe and I was not disappointed. It was such a treat. These brownies are high in protein, antioxidants, and fiber.

  • 1 cup Oat Flour or just put some regular Oats in a blender and blend until it looks like flour
  • 4 Egg Whites (or 3 whole Omega-3 eggs)
  • 2 scoops Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
  • ½ cup Xylitol (Found at health food stores. I bought mine at Sprouts)
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 8oz or 1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 3 tbsp Baking Cocoa
  • 4oz or 1/2 cup Water
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Mix all ingredients
  3. Spray cooking dish with a non stick spray or baking parchment paper and add batter to dish
  4. Bake 20-30 minutes in oven (I baked it for 15 minutes then added some crushed walnuts then baked for another 10 minutes for a total of 25 minutes)
