Protein Brownie
Who woulda thought that a delicious brownie could be part of a healthy diet?! I L.O.V.E. chocolate so I had to try this recipe and I was not disappointed. It was such a treat. These brownies are high in protein, antioxidants, and fiber.
- 1 cup Oat Flour or just put some regular Oats in a blender and blend until it looks like flour
- 4 Egg Whites (or 3 whole Omega-3 eggs)
- 2 scoops Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
- ½ cup Xylitol (Found at health food stores. I bought mine at Sprouts)
- ½ tsp Baking Soda
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 8oz or 1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
- 3 tbsp Baking Cocoa
- 4oz or 1/2 cup Water
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Mix all ingredients
- Spray cooking dish with a non stick spray or baking parchment paper and add batter to dish
- Bake 20-30 minutes in oven (I baked it for 15 minutes then added some crushed walnuts then baked for another 10 minutes for a total of 25 minutes)
